Coronavirus impact

Hello friends!

Dear friends,

The COVID-19 virus continues to dominate the news cycle, and it must also be dominating your personal and professional conversations. For me it’s no different. Let’s face it— COVID has thrust our community into unknown territory. We are missing our friends and loved ones, our normal routines. I miss seeing you all. Hugging you all. I miss hearing about your lives.

We’re faced with fear, restrictions, limited movement, each essential for our safety. I know this is a frightening time and many people within our community have faced both health and economic impacts. Our world is grappling with an issue of enormous scale and human impact, and my heart goes out to everyone who has been affected by the outbreak of coronavirus directly, and to all of us indirectly. We are all affected by this pandemic.

Your families are likely extremely wary, and I wanted to check in with you all. I wanted to let you know that I’m thinking of you. I’m praying for everyone I can think of. That you are not alone. That I love you. That our community will keep taking precautions, will keep doing our best, will keep faith and hope alive through all of this.

I know it can be overwhelming to try and cope mentally and emotionally, especially with the constant news coverage and current restrictions. Each day may feel different. I wanted to give you a few tips to help get through this stressful and uncertain time. 

1. Manage how you consume your news. 

2. Follow your regular routine. 

3. Stay physically active. 

4. Stay connected with friends and family. 

5. Be mindful and aware of how you’re feeling.

Last, I am here if you need to chat. To vent. For a virtual hug. You name it. Reach out. Hang in. Breathe deeply. Take good care and love yourself. Most importantly, stay safe, stay well, stay sane!
